Bio

I started working at BBC Radio 1 and then moved to BBC network tv, where I produced music content, working on well over 1,000 programmes. I remained with BBC for ten years before going freelance in various areas of music production, creation and promotion, before semi-retiring. I was lured out of retirement in 2015 to run Radio Scarborough, eventually gaining the station an FM licence. I stepped back from Radio Scarborough FM in 2022 to launch Radio Free Marseille, which plays a wide variety of music, NOT including contemporary mainstream pop, run of the mill dance music and no dedicated oldies or decade (60's, 70's, 80's etc) programmes, as you can hear such things on thousands of other stations. If it's jazz, electronic, world, alternative pop/rock or even classical or poetry/prose etc, we'll certainly consider it for airplay. Radio Free Marseille targets the English speaking audience in Marseille and the rest of the South of France, but has many global listeners. Airplay, with supportive advice.
