Bio and how they support artists
I am the head of A&R at Putumayo, a compilations record label and playlist curator that specializes in global and roots music. Putumayo travels the world in search of exceptional songs from Congo to Cuba, Rome to Rio, New Orleans to Nova Scotia. Putumayo’s meticulously researched and curated musical journeys are “guaranteed to make you feel good!” We are looking for songs with diverse cultural roots, catchy, accessible melodies. Nothing too heavy, experimental or avant-garde.
I am looking for songs to include on our playlists and to license for compilations as well as for playlists created for other brands such as National Geographic. I also book concerts for National Geographic travel.
