United Music Mafia is a force to be reckoned with in the music community. The Tampa-based label is the lovechild of OG Big Sean,” a veteran of the rap game and someone who does not believe in the phrase “seen it all, done it all.” With this venture, he aims to prove that there is always more work to do and a new task to complete, and he is putting together some of the hottest musicians to carry the torch for the newest generation of emcees. Each brings their unique skill set to the table as UMM allows the artist to complete and total creative freedom in their endeavors. On top of this, UMM also provides an unbelievable collection of assets and connections while allowing the artist room to grow and expand, with opportunities to even create their own label under the UMM imprint. Each artist is much more than a musician, and acts as an entrepreneur, forming a true career for themselves, just like Sean did in his early years. “United Music Mafia isn't just a business,” he says, “it’s a group of people that want the same thing and that's to put out good music and entertainment. We treat people like family and we become a collective of the minds.” Each member is never seen as competing against one another, but rather forwarding their own careers and the culture while being a part of something bigger than themselves in every sense of the word.
