Marvin Kuijs started his own record label at the age of 17. His label was distributed by EMI and later on, by BMG. He also did freelance A&R work for several record companies.
Since 1998, Marvin has been A&R at Free Music Publishing.
Free Music Publishing (FMP) has joint ventures with major publishers. It looks after the interests of writers, composers, and arrangers and administrates their music worldwide. The collection of FMP contains more than 10.000 music tracks.
Marvin Kuijs acts as a crucial link between independent artists and major labels, simplifying the process for both sides. He identifies talented independent musicians and helps them connect with major labels, giving them access to resources and exposure they might not have on their own.
At the same time, he introduces major labels to fresh, new songs they might otherwise miss. These labels have shared their 'artist roster' / 'who is looking for list' directly with Marvin.
Marvin's role as an A&R manager fosters collaborations that benefit everyone involved, enriching the music industry with new music and sounds.
Marvin Kuijs have worked with a variety of artists throughout his career.
Kuijs did A&R for artists like: Nicki Minaj, Binky Womack, Snoop Dogg, Shaggy, Janet Jackson, Pitbull, Tito Jackson, INNA, Mario Winans, Eurovision winners and participants , and work on a daily basis with labels like a.o: Sony Music, Universal Music, Roc Nation, Warner Music, and the The Orchard.
